Soft, Sweet Face

My dog Reeve was the sweetest and most gentle dog I had ever had the pleasure of knowing. You could see it in his eyes that he had a heart of gold. His beautiful soul matched his beautiful appearance. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about him.

One the morning of September 6th, after a week of suffering Kidney failure and visits to the vet, my angel took his last breath in his sleep. It's still sinking in that my childhood companion, who I've had since a few days before my 11th birthday, has passed on to the next world. We had enjoyed a wonderful life together for almost 10 years. He was 13 years old, having already been a few years old when we brought him home as a rescue. He is without a doubt the best birthday present I have ever received. I hope you're happy in your new home, baby.
